Clark Baldwin is a celebrated Federation Starfleet officer, tactician, and diplomat serving during the late twenty-fourth century. The highlights of his recent career center around assignments as Executive Officer of the USS Redoubt as well as Commanding Officer of the USS Harding and later Deep Space Five. In these roles, Baldwin not only witnessed major events involving the Elyshan Cold War, the Hobus Disaster, and unrest in the Romulan Empire, but played a key role in them also. He currently serves as Commanding Officer of the Regula-class Deep Space Five.
Clark is a middle-aged human whom many would say has aged gracefully despite the physical stresses endured throughout his career. He is slightly taller than the average human being and has always stood out from the crowd because of this, though he has never been one to boast of his appearance nor has he ever taken it for granted. When not in uniform, Clark prefers to dress simply and casually, choosing to forgo a more flamboyant wardrobe in favor of the traditional tunic. Self-discipline and healthful habits developed during his childhood have helped him to maintain physical stamina as well as emotional stability over the years. All this has been a compliment to the warmth and understanding often conveyed by his expression which has made him seem quite approachable.
Perhaps best known for his receptive attitude, enthusiasm for life, and dedication to others, Clark has always worked very hard to keep an open mind to the world around him and demonstrated himself to be someone others can readily rely upon. He can be described as someone who faces each new day head on with the hope of learning something new while leaving something behind for others in the process. The diverse array of experiences Clark has gained have helped him to develop a healthy sense of wisdom which he often applies when dealing with others in almost any situation. This has often given many people the impression of an approachable individual willing to listen without prejudice.
Strengths & Weaknesses
Those who have worked with Clark often speak quite highly of his dedication to others. His attention to detail as well as his ability to blend efficiency while maintaining a personal interest in those with whom he serves has earned him the admiration of many. Many see him as having little difficulty interacting with others, a trait often attributed to his outgoing personality and an ability to listen often attributed to those of El-Aurian descent. These abilities have helped him to instill confidence in his fellow shipmates even in difficult or life-threatening situations.
Despite what would seem like an open and sincere appreciation of people as well as the way they interact with one another, Clark remains a conflicted individual. He has been known to be quite reserved in revealing his own innermost thoughts and feelings with others. Although he readily acknowledges the benefits of having opened up to certain individuals in his life, a lack of siblings combined with the scorn of love lost has caused him to keep his most personal self quite close to his chest. On the other end of the spectrum, Clark's ability to find the road less traveled and take off racing down it can leave some people thinking him rash and there have been several occasions in which Clark has been known to sacrafice his own needs on behalf of others, even to the point of physical or emotional exhaustion. Experience has certainly brought Clark some level of restraint when pushing himself in the service of others, though it is a struggle he continues to face in his life.
It is easy to think of young men joining Starfleet to explore the galaxy and dream of commanding a starship of their own one day, but such a two-dimensional image could hardly capture the spirit of Clark Baldwin. He has always considered himself to be a life-long learner seeking to expand his knowledge through study, adventure, and experience. Clark prides himself on having made a difference in the lives of the people he meets and hopes to continue sharing what he has with others for many years to come. Since having been reunited with his son, Jeremy, Clark has devoted a considerable amount of time to rebuilding their relationship and raising his son to be an individual in his own right with the ability to choose for himself the person he wants to be.
Hobbies & Interests
Clark's personal hobbies and interests reflect the diverse personality of a man who is devoted to the improvement and preservation of all life. He continues to take advantage of the opportunities available to him as a Starfleet officer to pursue interests in the study of history and literature. Wilderness recreation such as camping, hiking, and horseback riding offer him the opportunity to spend personal time with his son while maintaining his own personal wellness. While Clark does enjoy spending time involved in social interaction with others and partaking in the occasional holonovel for personal entertainment, he also recognizes the importance of taking time to be with his own thoughts.

Clark Baldwin was born to Joseph and Elizabeth Baldwin on 12 September 2336 in the New England city of Salem, Massachusetts. Joseph had taken a particular interest in local heritage and was a self-employed entrepeneur who owned an establishment specializing in the restoration of antiques. Elizabeth served as an alderwoman on the Salem city council where she strongly advocated for the preservation of the city's architectural and cultural heritage.
The Baldwins owned a comfortable home overlooking Beverly Harbor just to the north of Salem that dated back to the mid-eighteenth century. In good weather, the family was able to enjoy spending time on the beach and sailing amongst the various inlets which lined the New England coast. Their location also gave them a spectacular view of the interesting weather patterns associated with the North Atlantic and New England in particular. During the summer, the ocean would help keep temperatures a little cooler and a breeze off the water was always refreshing. Elizabeth would open up the house on days like this and let the natural air conditioning work its magic. During the winter, the ocean helped to keep temperatures slightly warmer than they were further inland and also provided a regular amount of snowfall which meant the Baldwins rarely went without a white Christmas. Perhaps the most interesting season of all, however, was autumn when the entire area would be covered with the vibrant colors of changing leaves. Clark often enjoyed exploring the woods and imagining adventures of days long past as the seasons continued their transition from summer to winter.
By the time Clark began attending the Salem Public Schools when he was five-years-old, both his parents and his teachers realized he could be quite the advanced learner when he actually applied himself to the task. He would often be scolded for not paying attention in class when, in fact, Clark was simply trying to find ways in which he could grow at his own pace. The young boy's mind was like a sponge that absorbed and retained everything it encountered. His thirst for knowledge seemed to be insatiable and it came as no surprise when he quickly surpassed the other students in reading ability.
Outside of academics, Clark spent a great deal of time hanging out with friends or engaging in other extra-curricular activities. He experienced the sport of Lacrosse for the very first time during physical education class in fifth grade and was immediately hooked. His mother and father felt that participation in such an activity would be good for Clark and enrolled him in a youth program through the school district. The routine and regimen Clark received from grade five through his graduation from high school helped him learn how to manage his time in order to get things done. Starting in sixth grade, Clark was an active member of the school debate team, traveling to debate meets across the state where he would compete in a given category. His true passion and strength was Student Congress in which he would work with other students to develop and debate mock legislation relating to a variety of topics. Eventually, when he reached high school, Clark joined the Sea Scouts, where he further improved his skills associated with boating and sailing as well as learned important skills like lifeguarding, first aid, and CPR. By his senior year, Clark had developed quite a reputation for being a well-rounded individual with the potential to go far after graduation.
Although neither of Clark's parents were ever involved with Starfleet, he had already begun to consider a career as an officer while a freshman in high school. The thought of exploring amongst the stars and experiencing things few others had ever seen certainly held appeal for this adventurous young man. There were others in his class including some of his friends who were also planning to head off to Starfleet after graduation. In his junior year, Clark took the Academy Entrance Exams. Thanks to his time management and study skills, he was able to pass the exams and was accepted into Starfleet Academy upon graduation from high school. So it was that in the summer of 2354, Clark packed up and headed off to San Fransisco to begin his studies as a Starfleet cadet.
Clark arrived at Starfleet Academy in the fall of 2354 as a Starfleet cadet pursuing studies in starship tactics and military history. It did not take Clark long to discover how much his time as a member of the Lacrosse team would once again help him in his studies at the Academy. Self-discipline and time management skills allowed him to handle the academic course load as well as the physical training requirements with little difficulty. Clark made several early attempts to start up a co-curricular Lacrosse club, but met with little success and later abandoned the effort after the start of his second year. He focused a majority of his extra-curricular time toward being a part of the Academy debate team and participating in study groups which double as opportunities for him to get to know his fellow cadets.
Serious concerns regarding the ongoing Federation-Cardassian War led the atmosphere on campus to be highly charged with anticipation. Many of his fellow cadets were eager to get out into the field despite the concerns many of them had about what sort of impact these things were going to have on their dreams. By 2356, Clark was in the top five percent of his flight and had been slated for field studies. His first field assignment was aboard the Excelsior-Refit-class USS Antioch where he observed and assisted in the security/tactical department. Despite the nature of the Antioch's assignment as providing support for Federation colonies near the Cardassian border, everyone expected the mission to proceed rather smoothly on account of a lull in the fighting between Federation and Cardassian forces. There turned out to be little opportunity for Clark to participate in actual combat during the course of his assignment, though he managed to impress the department chief with his understanding of tactics.
Clark returned to the Academy where he continued his studies before receiving a second field assignment, this time aboard the New Orleans-class USS la Salle, the following year. The situation along the border had been heating up and the la Salle was tasked with investigating reports of Cardassian raiders in a sector adjacent to the Dorvan colony. Operating as an actual member of the security/tactical department this time around, Clark got his first taste of combat when two Cardassian Hideki-class vessels opened fire on the la Salle. Unable to directly face two heavily armed raiders, the captain ordered a retreat into the rings of a nearby gas giant hoping to even the odds.
Interference from the rings' composition made it difficult for the Cardassians to locate the la Salle, but just as difficult for the Starfleet vessel to know where the Cardassians were. Clark watched and waited as they navigated their way through a cloud of debris ranging in size from minute dust particles to asteroids large enough to completely encompass the New Orleans-class vessel. Every so often, the ship would shudder from a nearby explosion, which the Cardassians hoped to use to drive the la Salle out. After nearly three hours of a silent game of cat and mouse, they stumbled upon one of the Cardassian ships. Without any warning, the enemy vessel emerged from behind a nearby asteroid, setting off the collision alarms. Quick thinking on the part of the helmsman managed to save them from colliding with the Cardassians.
Clark knew he needed to be thinking in three dimensions in order to be a good tactician. He recalled studying the Battle of the Mutara Nebula at the Academy in which Admiral Kirk and the Enterprise faced off against the rogue Reliant. During the battle, Admiral Kirk had used the concept of three dimensions to his advantage. Planetary rings hardly seemed comparable to a Mutara-class nebula, but Clark brought his thoughts to the attention of his superior anyway and, between the two of them, they formulated a pattern that would use a few of the larger debris to their advantage and allow them to sneak up on their enemy. The plan worked and the la Salle was able to face the Cardassians one at a time, thereby giving them equal footing. Cardassian raids near the Dorvan colony decreased significantly once the two vessels had been defeated.
Early Starfleet Career & the Cardassian Wars
Clark graduated with honors in starship tactics and military history from Starfleet Academy in the spring of 2358 and was immediately assigned as a Tactical Officer aboard the New Orleans-class USS Nicolet which had been assigned to patrol along the Cardassian border. He found the smaller crew compliment and specialized mission profile of the Nicolet meant considerable opportunity to work with his shipmates in other departments as well as interact with them while off-duty as well. It was during this time that Clark distinguished himself applying historical combat tactics to contemporary scenarios such as those encountered in the Federation-Cardassian War with some measure of success.
During one encounter with a Cardassian Galor-class cruiser which had been harassing the Volan colonies, the Nicolet found itself outclassed and outgunned by the larger vessel. Clark was serving as the secondary bridge tactical officer at the start of the engagement and immediately assumed the station of his superior when the chief was incapacitated by an overloaded console. The young tactical officer quickly sized up the situation and realized there was no way they would be able to succeed in a direct assault with the Nicolet as damaged as she was. He recommended to his commanding officer they execute a micro-warp jump that would place them into position above the northern magnetic pole of Volan II. From this position, the Nicolet was able to surprise the cruiser once they'd turned their attention on the colony, thereby inflicting sufficient damage to drive the Cardassians from the system.
The actions undertaken by Clark during that engagement as well as his perfomance since arriving aboard the Nicolet earned him a promotion to the rank of Lieutenant JG and assignment to the position of Assistant Chief Security/Tactical Officer in 2360. Clark took advantage of his new authority to begin incorporating both historical and alternative tactics into departmental training sessions with emphasis on applying these techniques to contemporary combat situations. He also found time to work with members of the operations department in improving efficiency of the tactical sensor array by eight percent.
Clark's first brush with his own mortality came when he was chosen to lead one of several away teams assisting in the defense of a border colony under attack by Cardassian forces in early 2362. The team was cut off from the Nicolet when the Cardassians began actively jamming all communications frequencies. Clark soon found himself faced by a daunting Cardassian soldier and the two were quickly reduced to physical combat. In the process of wrestling the Cardassian for his weapon, Clark suffered a knife wound to he left arm. He had just managed to disarm the Cardassian when contact with the Nicolet was finally restored and, within less than forty minutes, the attack had been repulsed.
It took nearly three months for Clark to full recover from the injury he'd sustained during his struggle with the Cardassian soldier, but that hardly seemed to prevent him from finding ways to continue supporting the members of his department. His continued devotion to the well-being of both ship and crew earned him the respect of his superiors. When the Nicolet's Chief Security/Tactical Officer was reassigned in 2363, Clark was chosen as her successor and given a promotion to the rank of Lieutenant.
Clark took his experience defending the border colony as a sign of the need for a deeper understanding of security operations seriously. Given the success of his adapted tactical training program, Clark proposed a reorganization of the entire department to facilitate further opportunities for cross-training between personnel in both tactical and security operations. The captain approved his proposal and overall departmental performance improved significantly within a few short weeks.
Cardassian Armistice & the Maquis Rebellion
Following the establishment of an armistice between the Federation and Cardassian Union in 2367, the Nicolet was one of several vessels assigned to assist in the evacuation of Federation colonies located within the contested region of space which would eventually become the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ). The first instance proceeded rather smoothly under the direction of the Nicolet's senior staff with the entire relocation taking only three weeks. In the second instance, however, the colonists were much more reluctant to abandon their homes and livelihoods to the Cardassians. It took a considerable effort on the part of Clark and his security teams just to maintain the peace until an extension was successfully negotiated between the colonists and the Cardassian surveyors. In 2368, Clark received orders from Starfleet Command to report to the newly constructed USS Redoubt as Chief Security/Tactical Officer. He was immediately impressed by the capabilities of the Akira-class starship design and took special interest in its role as a pseudo-carrier. Attempts to incorporate starfighter tactics into departmental training resulted in inter-departmental training sessions with other shipboard departments. Clark's ability to foster such cooperation, especially with the starfighter squadron and the detachment of Starfleet Marines, quickly earned him the respect of his fellow senior staff.
The acquisition of the Nor-class Deep Space Nine as part of a complex arrangement with the Bajoran Provisional Government prompted Starfleet Command to dispatch the Redoubt to the region adjacent the Bajoran Sector in order to support Starfleet operations. Early 2370 saw the signing of an official Federation-Cardassian Treaty which formally established the Demilitarized Zone and resulted in dozens of Federation colonies ending up in Cardassian-controlled territory. Local resentment of these treaty stipulations gave birth to a growing movement known as the Maquis and it did not take long for the Redoubt to become embroiled in Starfleet's efforts to assert control over the growing Maquis rebellion.
Later that year, Clark was instrumental in helping to uncover a plot by members of the Redoubt's own crew to commit acts of sabotage with the intention of disabling the Redoubt and defecting to the Maquis. This naturally raised several concerns for Clark as he was aware of former Starfleet officers using their positions in order to provide supplies, tactical information, and even military arms to the beleagured colonists. With the approval of the captain, he worked closely with a hand-selected team of personnel to develop and carry out an attempt to apprehend the suspected saboteurs. His team was only able to capture two out of the three conspirators before the third, a Lieutenant Kevin Elbris, was beamed away by a waiting Maquis raider. Clark was not content allowing Lieutenant Elbris' escape to go unresolved and began studying the tactics used by Maquis paramilitary cells in an effort to put himself one step ahead. Information provided by the apprehended conspirators, combined with the countermeasures Clark was able to develop from his own research, proved effective in helping to track down and eventually capture Lieutenant Elbris. Once again, Clark's determination to follow through in his duties was rewarded with the recognition of his superiors and a promotion to the rank of Lieutenant Commander.
The Dominion War & Post-War Reconstruction
Clark was one of several Starfleet officers to participate in a briefing with Admiral Alynna Nechayev aboard Deep Space Nine in 2372 to address the ongoing Maquis rebellion as well as escalating tensions with the recently-encountered Dominion. He wasted little time incorporating this information into yet another revision of department training techniques which were expanded to include a greater focus on skills to counter known Dominion tactics. Although the members of his department were already used to some forms of alternative combat, they initially struggled with some of the more unusual aspects of fighting the Jem'Hadar in close quarters. It eventually reached the point where Clark ordered the entire department to undergo a week of intensive hand-to-hand combat training before he was finally satisfied they were beginning to improve in their readiness.
The Redoubt underwent a scheduled refit at the Utopia Planetia Fleet Yards beginning in early 2373 during which Clark worked closely with members of the Starfleet Corps of Engineers to oversee several improvements to the Redoubt's tactical systems. These upgrades were put to the test several months later when the Redoubt was returned to service in time to join Federation forces defending Earth from an attempted invasion by the Borg. Following the Battle of Sector 001, the Redoubt returned to service as part of the Second Fleet where she participated in the raid which destroyed the Dominion shipyards on Torros III.
A great deal of the combat Clark experienced during the next two years centered around fleet movements and starship tactics as well as the coordination of starfighter operations. Time and again, those under Clark's command who had gone through the adaptive training he'd been developing ever since his days as Assistant Chief Security/Tactical Officer aboard the Nicolet proved itself in the way members of the different departments were able to work closely with one another in carrying out joint-operations. Clark also served as the Redoubt's primary tactical officer during such engagements as Operation Return, the First Battle of Chin'toka, and the Battle of Cardassia. During what would become the final engagement of the war, Clark worked closely with the tactical officers of four other Alliance to disable orbital defense platforms as the allies' continued their approach to Cardassia. He was among the first of the Redoubt's crew to witness the terrible destruction that had been wrought upon the Cardassian people by the Dominion and, despite having fought against Cardassians for much of his Starfleet career, firmly believed that no one deserved such a fate.
The Treaty of Bajor brought an end to the Dominion War in 2375 and was signed on Deep Space Nine by personnel of the Federation Alliance and the Dominion-Breen Alliance. Shortly after the treaty was ratified, the Redoubt was assigned to assist in the Federation's efforts of reconstruction including providing aid to the Cardassian Union. Clark had recently been appointed to succeed the Redoubt's previous Executive Officer who, because of personnel shortages resulting from losses incurred during the war, had been granted her own starship command. Experiences gained before and during the Dominion War gave Clark a significant advantage in helping to lead away teams conducting search and rescue operations, securing locations for field medical facilities, and delivering much-needed relief supplies. One such occasion occurred during the evacuation of a Cardassian colony world near the borders of the Federation that had been devastated by Dominion retaliatory strikes in the final days of the war. The aftereffects of theses strikes had poisoned the planet's biosphere and threatened the very existence of the colony. At the request of Elim Garak, a small group of Federation ships was allowed to enter Cardassian space to assist in the colony's evacuation. Clark was lead one of several teams sent down by the Redoubt to help organize the transport of civilians to the waiting starships in orbit. His professionalism and efforts to assist the colonists were recognized by both his own superiors as well as members of the colonial leadership.
The Shinzon Crisis & the Romulan Frontier
In early 2378, the Redoubt returned to Sector 001 to begin a second scheduled refit at the Utopia Planeita Fleet Yards, but was one of twenty-four vessels called upon when a Borg transwarp conduit was detected less than a light-year from Earth. A single Borg sphere emerged from the transwarp conduit where it was immediately set upon by the waiting Federation ships. They were surprised when the sphere suddenly exploded of its own accord without any apparent reason. Moments later, their confusion was replaced with elation as the long-lost USS Voyager emerged from the explosion having finally returned from the Delta Quadrant.
The Redoubt's second refit marked a significant turning point for Clark. Prior to that event, he had spent a considerable amount of his Starfleet career along the much-contested border between the United Federation of Planets and the Cardassian Union. He had distinguished himself as a master tactician by developing adaptive combat techniques over the course of twenty years based on his experiences fighting the Cardassians, the Maquis, and the Dominion. Following the refit, however, the Redoubt was dispatched to a region along the Federation's core-ward frontier where Clark coming into increasing contact with representatives of the Romulan Star Empire. It came as no surprise when Clark insisted on reviewing the reports relating to an engagement between the USS Enterprise-E and the Reman warbird Scimitar which took place in 2379. His analysis of the Battle in the Bassen Rift focused particularly on the combat tactics employed by the Remans, the capabilities of the Scimitar, and the performance of the previously un-encountered Norexan-class warbirds.
USS Harding & the Elyshan Empire
Analysis of the USS Voyager and the record of her journey in the Delta Quadrant continued well into the mid-2380s as Starfleet Command sought to incorporate the lessons learned by Voyager into both current and future starship design. The Nova-class USS Harding was one of several starships that underwent significant overhaul including a number of changes to the physical layout as well as superior tactical firepower and shield strength to that of earlier Nova-class vessels. Reconstruction proceeded without incident throughout the latter half of 2381 and into the following year as yard crews worked to prepare her for active duty. At the recommendation of the Redoubt's Commanding Officer, Starfleet Command officially tapped Commander Baldwin as the most likely candidate for Command based on Baldwin's extensive experience and dedicated service. Clark began the process of reviewing potential candidates for senior staff positions while still carrying out his duties as Executive Officer aboard the Redoubt before officially assuming command of the Harding in early 2382.
The Nova-class USS Harding departed the Beta Antares Fleet Yards with orders to assume responsibility for patrol along the Romulan Neutral Zone near the Federation core-ward frontier. Clark had already become quite familiar with the region during his most recent tour of duty aboard the Redoubt and found the dual nature of his first command a welcome transition from the primarily tactically-oriented experiences of his early career. Within the first six months, the Harding had successfully completed an extensive survey of the Typhon Expanse and several nearby Federation territories, becoming the first Federation starship to have done so in nearly sixteen years. It was not long before word of Starfleet's first encounters with the Elyshan Empire in around 2384 began to spread. Clark immediately took an interest in how similar they seemed to the early encounters with the Cardassians and the Dominion. Of particular concern to him was the fact that each encounter had involved a seemingly isolated attack on individual Starfleet vessels with the apparent purpose of learning more about the Federation itself.
Deep Space Five & the Elyshan Cold War
The Harding arrived at the Aldani Shipyards in early 2385 to begin a scheduled refit. Although there had been no direct interactions between the Harding and Elyshan vessels, Clark had every intention of using the time to work with yard teams and the Starfleet Corps of Engineers on developing ways to increase the vessel's defensive capabilities. It was during that time, however, that Captain Clark Baldwin was approached by Admiral Olivia Tavez. His experiences in tactical operations along the Cardassian border as well as his ability to successfully interact with other, sometimes previously unencountered species had made quite the impression upon the Eighth "Horizon" Fleet admiralty, who were at that time restructuring Starfleet operations along the Elyshan border in response to recent territorial disputes. Clark received new orders from the Eighth Fleet admiralty and immediately set out to assume command of the Regula-class Deep Space Five.
It was no secret the myriad of personnel transfers along the Federation's core-ward frontier were a result of the ever growing hostilities between the Elyshan Empire and other Alpha Quadrant powers. Concern that another war might soon be imminent weighed heavily on the minds of those who lived and served in such close proximity to the focus of action. As Commanding Officer, Clark was responsible for working with Strategic Operations to coordinate both Starfleet and allied assets in the region surrounding Deep Space Five. Briefings with the command staffs aboard dozens of vessels, members of the station's strategic operations department, as well as his own superiors in the Eighth Fleet admiralty and at Starfleet Command became much more frequent in the months following his arrival. He quickly developed working relationships with those who reported to him on a daily basis which was matched only by his growing familiarity with the ever fluctuating strategic situation.
The year 2387 brought about a great deal of upheaval throughout the Alpha and Beta Quadrants which threatened to drastically alter the balance of power even moreso than the Elyshan Cold War ever had. Although the Elyshans had retreated within their own borders following defeats at Starbase 386 and Starbase Gatekeeper, political unrest within the Romulan Empire had been thrown into chaos by the disastrous effects of the Hobus Supernova. Growing concern at Starfleet Command and the Federation Council prompted a renewed effort to formalize many of the diplomatic ties that had been established during the Dominion War. At the same time, there were many within Starfleet who also recognized the need for preparation in the event diplomacy failed.
Clark's first encounter with Jeremy Baldwin took place in early 2388 when the young man turned up on Deep Space Five claiming to be his son. The discovery of having a biological son was a blindsiding revelation for Clark. To his own knowledge, he had never been involved in any sort of intimate relationship with a woman that would have produced a child and had never even been aware of the young man's existence until that moment. Clark was understandably skeptical at first and insisted the young man undergo DNA testing to confirm whether or not his story was actually true. The station's Chief Medical Officer was able to confirm a DNA match. Jeremy Baldwin had been born in 2370 while his mother was living on the Maquis colony of Marva IV. She continued to raise him in the colony until the Cardassian Union and their newfound Dominion allies swept through the Badlands in a renewed effort to wipe out the Maquis resistance. Jeremy's mother was killed while trying to escape with her son aboard a transport headed for the Federation core worlds while Jeremy survived and was raised on Earth by an adoptive family.
Although there still seemed to be more questions than answers at that point, Clark allowed Jeremy to take up residence aboard the station for the time being and the two of them began the slow process of getting to know one another. They have taken to meeting regularly for lunch to converse with one another and to share stories of their past. Occasionally, they might choose to take advantage of the holodeck when looking for a more extending outing such as wilderness recreation or even physically revisiting locations important to each of them. Despite the somewhat unique circumstances of their relationship, Clark cannot deny being proud of the young man that Jeremy has become and the accomplishments he has made.
